About Me
Hey there! I'm Duc (/duk/), a software engineer with a passion for building 🛠️ My journey began in 2010 at a school summer camp where I first discovered Turbo Pascal.
Since then, and I’ve had the privilege of working at a networking corp, a research lab, a trading firm , and an investment bank. I was also a contributor for an open-source IDE.
Currently, I'm focused on building and maintaining the Machine Learning Platform that empowers Wealthsimple's core business to thrive.

Where I’ve Worked
ML Platform Engineer @ Wealthsimple
February 2023 - Present
- Initiated and led the development of a reliable and scalable ML pipeline, enabling efficient fine-tuning and deployment of large language model (LLMs).
- Designed and deployed a productivity AI assistant, utilized daily by 90% of the company, facilitating secure interactions with OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Meta Llama.
- Architected and led the open-source initiative of LLM-Gateway - a portal for companies to securely interact with LLM providers.

A web app that analyzes, recognizes, and gives information about dog breeds, all based on an image from the user.
Dog Facts API
A REST API service that returns dog facts per requested. There is no other dog facts API while there are many APIs supporting cat facts. That's unfair, and I am a dog person; hence, this project.
